Habitat is to return to the High Street as new owner Sainsbury's plans a big expansion drive.
The grocer is looking to open stores for the one-time pinnacle of British design as well as concessions in its supermarkets. 
At its peak Habitat took Swinging 60s London by storm, and now Sainsbury's plans to open up to 50 Habitat outlets.
The first is in Sainsbury's flagship Nine Elms supermarket in south London, which opened last week.
It plans five more by Christmas including at Colney Fields in St Albans, Marshall Lake in Solihull and Kiln Lane, Epsom.
