Sid Vicious smashed my tambourine!



The story of how the late Sid Vicious, of Sex Pistols fame, smashed the tambourine of an aspiring Scunthorpe musician will be revealed to viewers of the BBC TV 4 show “People's History of Pop" tomorrow (October 7).
In 1978-79 Dene Stansall was working as a graphic artist in London when he approached Malcom McLaren, the band's manager, about replacing John Lydon, alias Jonny Rotten.
“Everyone of a certain age wanted to be a Sex Pistol in those days." he recalled.
