Shropshire under-10s accused of committing 230 crimes



The youngest child was just five years old, West Mercia Police has revealed.
Figures show a total of 230 crimes were allegedly committed by under-10s in the past three years. The age of criminal responsibility in England and Wales is 10.
This means that children under 10 cannot be arrested or charged with a crime. However, according to the figures, 134 alleged assaults, where under-10s are said to be the attackers, have been recorded by the force since 2014.
