Shotgun found dumped in garden after two men are seen fleeing scene of car crash



A SHOTGUN was dumped in a garden by two men fleeing the scene of a car crash in Maghull.
Armed police descended on the area around Ormonde Drive at around 1.50pm today.
A call was received that an Audi A1 had collided with a van and a BMW, causing damage to both vehicles but no injuries.
Two males were reported to have run away from the car and thrown a bag over a fence in a nearby garden.
Armed officers found a bag containing a shotgun.
Both the shotgun and the car have been recovered for forensic enquiries. The car is believed to have been stolen from North Wales.
