Shorter mobile phone masts that will cut the number of reception blackholes in the countryside without spoiling beautiful views have been developed.
The new technology is being rolled out to improve mobile signal and internet connections in rural areas after years of complaints.
The devices will cut the number of so-called 'not spots' in the UK's countryside, mobile companies Vodafone and EE said.
These are locations where customers cannot pick up signal or receive very poor reception.
