Sheffield restaurant’s cash boost for earthquake appeal



Customers at an Italian restaurant in Sheffield have helped to raise £1, 749 to help people affected by the Amatrice earthquake.
The Ecclesall Road-based Nonnas donated £1 from every single pasta dish sold throughout September.
Councillor Denise Fox, lord mayor of Sheffield, received the cheque on behalf of the appeal.
Nonnas proprietor Maurizo Mori thanked everyone for their support.
He added said: “The earthquake has been devastating for a small town that inspired one of the country’s most iconic dishes. It’s wonderful that the lord mayor of Sheffield visited to receive the cheque.”... read more
