Ex-Cardiff boss in temporary charge after Strachan sacking
Malky Mackay was controversially placed in interim charge of Scotland yesterday while the search for Gordon Strachan’s successor continues.
The former Cardiff boss was appointed Scottish Football Association’s performance director in December last year after being the subject of an 11-month probe in 2014 for sending a string of racist, homophobic and sexist texts while in charge of the Welsh club.
Mackay was cleared of any wrongdoing at the time and he will now oversee a friendly against the Netherlands at Pittodrie on November 9.... read more
