Sex blackmailer 'Romeo' demanded £300 from Scunthorpe teenager who sent him indecent pictures



A CROWN court judge dismissed suggestions that a man blackmailed a Scunthorpe girl he met through social media because he felt rejected by her as "completely bogus".
Mortuz Ali, 26, demanded money from the girl after she was persuaded to send him indecent photographs of herself and threatened to release the images online if she didn't pay.
Charlotte Baines, prosecuting, told Grimsby Crown Court that a 17-year-old girl began speaking with Ali on a messaging service in July 2013.
They exchanged telephone numbers and he used the name Romeo.
