Serge Gnabry was determined to leave ‘top club’ Arsenal for first team football, reveals Werder Bremen director
 

Serge Gnabry made a ‘conscious decision’ to leave a top club like Arsenal because he was desperate for first team football, claims Weder Bremen sporting executive Frank Baumann.
The 20-year-old joined Bremen in the last days of the transfer window in August after Arsenal agreed a £5million deal with the Bundesliga club.
Arsene Wenger recently revealed that Gnabry was ‘extremely’ close to signing a new deal with the Gunners but performed a shock u-turn after rethinking his future.
