Section of busy Northamptonshire road to be closed for a month during repair of bridge

The A5199 between the villages of Spratton and Chapel Brampton is set to be closed for a month to allow a bridge to be repaired.
Spratton Sands Bridge was damaged by a vehicle earlier this year, which meant that a temporary safety barrier needed to be installed.
As the barrier reduced the width of the available carriageway, for safety reasons, the road has been under two-way traffic lights ever since.
Works to repair the bridge are programmed to start on Monday, October 31, and are expected to last until Monday, November 28.
