Secrets of Lincoln's past uncovered beneath the city's bus station

Archaeologists have uncovered thousands of artifacts from Lincoln's past during an excavation under the city's bus station.
The station is being demolished to make way for a new multi-million pound transport hub.
But before the new hub can be built, archaeological investigations need to be carried out to make sure no vital parts of the city's history are lost.
And a team from Allen Archaeology has now moved in to excavate the site.
And the team has made a number of fascinating discoveries, ranging from the walls of an old brewery to evidence of a medieval dumping ground.
