Search for Bronze Age treasures may delay Ludlow housing development
 

0 Comments Pickstock Homes Ltd has put in an initial “screening” request to Shropshire Council to see if fields west of Rocks Farm at Rocks Green, bordering the A49 bypass at Ludlow, are suitable for building.
But council officers say the site may contain Bronze Age treasures, as well as Iron Age and Roman remains.
A letter suggesting the plan, and asking whether an environmental impact assessment would be needed for the fields, was submitted to Shropshire Council as far back as June, it has emerged.
