Scrooge council bosses order community champions to remove Christmas tree from Bedworth beautyspot

Scrooge council chiefs have told champions of a Bedworth beautyspot that they must remove a Christmas tree planted for the whole community to enjoy.
Members of the Friends of the Nook group had planted a 4ft tree at the Nook, as well as two apple trees, for the community.
But they claim to have been told by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council that they must remove the natural additions because they were not given permission to plant them.
