A Scot due to stand trial for burying her late husband in their garden in Portugal fears the legal case could drag on for years.
Louise Khan faces up to two years in jail for “corpse desecration”.
She was arrested after her husband Alyn Pennycook’s body was recovered from their garden.
But more than 10 months later, Khan, a piano teacher, is still waiting to learn her fate.
And a close friend said the workings of the Portuguese legal system mean it could be years before it is settled.
