SCOTLAND Under-21s boss Scot Gemmill looked on as his legendary father, Archie, guided the Under-19s to a European Final 10 years ago – and thought it was normal.
And, as he prepares to take charge of his first U-21s match today in Iceland he admits it’s only now he appreciates what an achievement that was for his dad and Tommy Wilson.
The former midfielder, who took over from Ricky Sbragia last month, will unveil a new-look side in Reykjavik for their penultimate European Championship qualifier, a tournament from which they have already been eliminated.
