Schools chief who's not allowed to give interviews says 'I'm not a faceless bureaucrat'



THE commissioner in charge of Grimsby's academy schools assured MPs she was not a "faceless" bureaucrat – before her staff blocked an interview with the press saying she wasn't allowed to give interviews.
The snub has sparked a call from one North East Lincolnshire MP to replace the appointed role with an elected figure to ensure regional schools commissioners – who look after thousands of schools across the country – are more accountable.
