Schoolboy in hospital after being hit by a car outside Kenton School



A schoolboy is in hospital after he was knocked down by a car outside Kenton School.
The 15-year-old was hit by the car on Kenton Lane just before 3pm and he is believed to have broken his leg in the collision.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the schoolboy was taken to the RVI in Newcastle , but his injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and has not been arrested, police have said.
