School in lockdown after man seen with a knife - police at scene



A school is in lockdown after a man was seen with a knife.
Staff immediately rang 999 and police arrived within minutes.
Staff said a member of the public rushed into reception at Woodlands Primary School to say they had seen a man with a knife in Sutcliffe Avenue nearby.

As a precaution, the school in Grimsby was placed on lockdown.
The incident happened between 8.15am and 8.45am this morning.
Police confirmed that a man was arrested shortly afterwards and remains in police custody.
