Sand could reappear at North Shore beach in Llandudno to save town from floods



A multi-million pound project to develop Llandudno’s sea defences to make the seaside town safe for the next 100 years has taken a step forward.
A new Beach Management Plan from environmental consultancy firm Aecom, was commissioned by Conwy council to review the adequacy of the sea defences in Llandudno, and appraise the flood risk of the area.
The lengthy report, funded by the Welsh Government, also looks at enhancing the amenity value of both North Shore and West Shore beaches at the same time.
