Samsung’s replacement phones are also catching fire
A plane had to be evacuated after a replacement Samsung phone caught fire during the flight.
It’s unfortunate for Samsung, which had to recall thousands of its Galaxy Note 7 models after explosions and overheating.
The new version was meant to have fixed the problem with the battery, but since the product recall there have been at least two reports of phones allegedly catching fire.
Passengers were taken off a Southwest Airlines flight 944 from Louisville to Baltimore this morning after a phone overheated and caught fire despite reportedly being switched off.
