Rutherglen Glencairn player takes on Ironman triathlon to raise thousands of pounds for charity
 

A Rutherglen Glencairn footballer has raised thousands of pounds for charity after swimming, cycling and running more than 124 miles in just one day.
Ryan Docherty completed the gruelling Ironman triathlon in Mallorca in an impressive 14 hours, 32 minutes and 43 seconds.
The 30-year-old defender from Glasgow trained for a solid six months for the event on September 24 which is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world.
