Rutherglen and Cambuslang golf club professionals explain why the sport is losing future stars
 

Golf clubs in Rutherglen and Cambuslang have spoken out after figures revealed the sport was driving away the next generation of talent.
A recent study showed Scotland lost more registered golfers between 2015 and 2016 than any other country in Europe.
Former Open champion Paul Lawrie said the expense of playing golf was the cause of losing so many players.
PGA professionals at the clubs in both towns have agreed and disagreed with the 48 year old’s views.
Duncan Williamson of Kirkhill Golf Club in Cambuslang said making the courses shorter was a good start .
