Russia sees EU as weak and divided
 

A clear message was sent as European leaders prepare to meet to discuss further sanctions for Russia in response to its bombing of Aleppo.
Maxim Samorukov, an analyst at a Russian foreign affairs think tank, said the EU's dependence on America is one of the most frequent criticisms levelled at the bloc by Russian officials.
He said: "The lack of European independence is one of the most pervasive subjects of complaints in the Russian foreign policy."
