Rushcliffe residents deliver ten tonnes of clothes, food and toiletries to help out Nottinghamshire charity

Ten tonnes of food and clothing has been given to a Nottinghamshire homeless charity by Rushcliffe residents.
Last week Rushcliffe Borough Council sent the refuse collectors round to pick up tinned and perishable food and clothes to give to the Friary.
The residents were told to leave the items on their recycling and they were so generous they overwhelmed the council’s fleet, who had to call in reinforcements to collect them all.
