Rural green collections to go up by 60 PER CENT



RESIDENTS in villages such as Holton-le-Clay and Tetney and all around the Louth area will have to pay £40 for their green waste collections from next year.
Following a consultation with users of the service and the wider community, East Lindsey District Council has agreed to charge £40 per year for 21 collections.
Residents currently pay £25 for fortnightly collections.
The charge, which will mean the service is self-funding in the future, will be fixed for four years with collections reduced between November and March.
