Runway reopens at Manchester Airport after British Airways Airbus A319 broke nose wheel on landing
 

Runway one has reopened at Manchester Airport after being shut for more than four hours when a plane broke a wheel on landing.
The runway, 23R/5L, was shut from about 11am this morning after the British Airways plane landed and became stuck following the damage.
Passengers onboard the flight from Heathrow reported hearing a crack, followed by a loud shuddering noise after the plane landed, due to an issue with the nose wheel.
The runway was closed for hours while engineers launched an investigation.
