An amateur rugby player fears he will never walk again after collapsing during a match for his local team in Suffolk.
Super fit 25-year-old Alex Jackson was injured by an innocuous tackle while playing in his first game in three years for the Hadleigh Rugby Club second team.
The 6’1″ outside-centre desperately tried to stand up after he was brought down, but could only drag himself to the sideline before collapsing.
Throughout the horrific accident, his pregnant girlfriend Sophie-Jean looked on in horror.
