Ruby Mcgregor-Smith to step down from Mitie after more than a decade at the top of the Bristol-based giant   



Mitie has said Ruby McGregor-Smith is to step down as its chief executive after more than a decade at the top of the struggling outsourcing firm.
She will be replaced in December by Phil Bentley, who was chief executive of Cable & Wireless Communications until its £3.5billion takeover by Liberty Global earlier this year. 
Lady McGregor-Smith was the first Asian woman to become chief executive of a FTSE 250 company when she took the role at Mitie in April 2007.
