Royal Troon star Michael Smyth wins seven trophies in best ever season
 

Michael Smyth has rounded off his best ever season with his SEVENTH title.
The 31-year-old Prestwick man won the Arrol Cup for the first time at Prestwick St Nicholas only a year after he broke the course record with a 63.
Smyth fired two 67s to pip Belleisle’s Jim Johnston by a shot.
And that was enough to also secure the Ayrshire Order of Merit.
Michael revealed: “Ironically my total score was two more than last year when I was beaten by two shots by Andrew Fairbairn of Glasgow.
“I had five birdies in the first 10 holes in the second round and missed a foot putt at the eighth.
