Royal palace fraud: How two Leicestershire men were involved in £100k cash for contracts scam



Two Leicestershire businessmen have been sentenced for their role in a cash for contracts scam at some of London's most famous royal residences.
Steven Thompson and Glynn Orridge, both of Melton, were involved in a scheme to bribe Ronald Harper so that companies could win lucrative contracts at Buckingham, St James's and Kensington palaces.
Harpur, a deputy property manager in the Royal Household, was paid more than £100,000 in return for showing favour to heating, building and energy firms over a five year period.
