Roving burglar was part of £20,000 tool theft gang who then crashed at golf course
 

A burglar fled police at “break-neck” speeds without his lights on - before careering onto a golf course and smashing into a tree.
Stephen Neate, 32, a banned driver from east Cleveland, sped onto the lush acres of Kirbymoorside Golf Club and ploughed “heavily” into the tree.
He smashed his head against the windscreen but managed to jump out of the Vauxhall Astra and high-tail it behind some bushes at the North York Moors course.
Police found him bunkered down behind the bushes and cuffed him.
