Eastwood Village Primary School has been open to pupils for about a year but was given a grand unveiling recently with local dignitaries, including Rotherham mayor councillor Lyndsay Pitchley, gathering to attend.
Eastwood had been designated as a ‘heavily over-subscribed school area’ and Rotherham Council received funding to build it following a successful Targeted Basic Need funding bid to the Government.
