Rory McIlroy rules out successfully defending Race to Dubai title, insisting 'it's not going to happen'



Rory McIlroy has ruled out any prospect of successfully defending his Race to Dubai title this week after taking one look at the permutations.
In theory, the Northern Irishman is one of four players who could end the season at the top of the European pile but in practice it will be either Masters Champion Danny Willett, Swede Alex Noren or Open Champion Henrik Stenson, the hot favourite, who succeeds him.
