Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins untroubled in Northern Ireland Open as both qualify for second round



Ronnie O'Sullivan eased into the second round of the Northern Ireland Open with a comfortable victory over David John.
The five-time world champion made two century breaks in a 4-1 win over his Welsh opponent and gave the crowd at the Titanic Exhibition Centre a show of his old self after finishing the match with a 133 clearance.
The Rocket is currently enjoying a sustained amount of snooker and is climbing the rankings, currently standing at world No 22. That is 97 places higher than his Welsh opponent and the difference in class was clear.
