Rogue landlord guilty after tenants left with sewage pouring into house and no heating
 

A landlord whose house became flooded with sewage and left tenants with no heating has been hit with a fine.
Alison Atkinson of Tarbot Hey, Wirral, was found guilty in her absence of failing to licence the house in Clanfield Road, Croxteth under the Citywide Licensing Scheme and will now have to pay more than £1350 in fines and other charges.
The court heard that the home was flooded with sewage from a blocked drain and that the property did not have the compulsory licence required by the city council.
