Roger Gower: Brothers of murdered helicopter pilot to rebuild school in Africa in his memory



The brothers of brave Brummie helicopter pilot Roger Gower – killed when he was shot down by ivory poachers as he tried to protect elephants – are to fly out to Africa to rebuild a village school in his memory.
Roger, 37, originally from Edgbaston, was working with a conservation charity in Tanzania when the poachers opened fire with powerful AK-47 assault rifles, hitting him in the arm and shoulder in January this year.
