Roger Daltrey reveals how he didn't want to live during his meningitis battle
 

It is the greatest line-up of all time with the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Roger Waters all taking to the stage in the Californian desert this weekend.
But Roger Daltrey, whose band The Who is headlining the Desert Trip festival on Sunday night, is lucky to be on the star-studded bill at all.
A year ago he fell so desperately ill with viral meningitis, he nearly died.
But now the 72-year-old singer says he is almost back to full fitness – and is relishing playing live again.
“I can’t believe I am going to be there if I am honest,” he says smiling.
