​Road hold-ups nightmare for A38 garden centre

A garden centre said its customer numbers plummeted by four-fifths after it was hit by delays caused by major roadworks on the A38.
Gas and electricity works have been under way on the route for the past nine weeks, but the owner of Bartonfields Patio and Garden Centre said he is now at the end of his tether.
Trevor Standley said the centre, near Burton, has lost £40,000 and seen footfall drop by 80% after the road works caused major delays on the only road to the store.
