Road closed as fire crews tackle blaze in city centre building



Fire crews are tackling a blaze in Hanley this morning.
The fire, in a building next to the former Coral bookmaker's building in Old Hall Street, started just before 5am.
Four crews from Hanley, Burslem and Newcastle are in attendance as well as the police.

The road is closed.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "The fire is in a building next to the old Coral Bookmakers shop on Old Hall Street - the road is closed.
"Fire and police are in attendance and we do believe it is deliberate ignition.... read more
