River Dee flood alert rises with high tides
 

Emma Stringfellow High tides and heavy rain have given rise to the threat of flooding in Chester and Ellesmere Port.
The Environment Agency has issued two flood alerts active for Cheshire West on Monday (October 17).
A downpour is expected to sweep in overnight into Tuesday.
An alert is in place for the North Wales coast, including the River Dee estuary, as well as the River Mersey estuary affecting parts of Ellesmere Port and Frodsham.

It is the lowest category notice which means ‘flooding is possible, be prepared’ and is less serious than a flood warning.
