Review: The Last Tango at the Phoenix Theatre
 

The “vertical expression of horizontal desire” is one of the sexiest dances ever invented and Strictly Come Dancing duo Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace are two of the most expert practitioners.
But this latest show – allegedly their last – is not strictly tango. It opens in the present, as an old man clambers into his attic raking through memories of the past. Below, his younger self (Vincent) acts out various stages of his romance and marriage to his wife (Flavia) from the 1930s through to post-war Britain.
