Revealed: New secondary school for edge of Derby
 

A new secondary school could be built on the edge of Derby to cope with a predicted rise in pupil numbers, it has been revealed.
Derbyshire County Council has earmarked land at Boulton Moor and Chellaston as its two preferred sites for a new school, which it says is needed due to thousands of new homes that are planned to be built in the surrounding area.
A report to the authority's cabinet reveals that Thulston Fields, off Snelsmoor Lane, in Boulton Moor, is its top choice but recognises that gaining planning permission may prove problematic as it is within the Green Belt.
