REVEALED: Massive increase in attacks on Merseyside mosques



Mosques in Merseyside are increasingly being targeted in hate crime attacks, with a huge increase in reports over the last year.
Figures obtained by the Press Association show the number of crimes recorded in the short peroid between March and June shot up from one to six.
This puts Merseyside third highest in the country for increases in recorded hate crimes against mosques after London and Greater Manchester.
Merseyside Police said they have seen a year-on-year increase in reporting of hate crimes since 2013.
