Revealed: 38-million-year-old fossils of BEARDOGS shed new light on the evolution of canines



Paleontologists have uncovered two important 'beardog' fossils that were hiding in plain sight in a museum's collection. 
While some of their descendants were large and bear-like, the newly classified specimens are the size of Chihuahua dogs.
The beardogs in the study are not a new species, but until now, researchers weren't exactly sure how to classify them.
