Reunited with family in Canada thanks to the Telegraph!



A MAN has been connected with members of his distant family in Canada thanks to an elderly woman from Cleethorpes and a little bit of help from the Grimsby Telegraph.
Maurice Kendall, 64, of Great Coates, wrote a letter that was published in the Grimsby Telegraph about how he had uncovered the grave of his great uncle, Alfred Kendall, who was killed in France 20 days before the end of the First World War.
Little did he know but this letter would put him in contact with a "remarkable" lady from Cleethorpes, Betty Booth, who at the time was 105 years old, but has now sadly passed... read more
