Receptionists putting people off seeing the doctor, Cancer Research UK finds
 

Patients are being discouraged from seeing their GP through fears of the receptionists, a new study by a cancer charity has found. The research, carried out by Cancer Research UK, found that four in 10 adults get that worked up about discussing their symptoms with the reception team that they delay making an appointment.
The study of 1,986 adults was published in the Journal of Public Health and asked patients what acted as 'barriers' to seeing them making that appointment to see their doctor.
