IT'S more than five years since Tim Sherwood lifted the phone to Daniel Levy and told him to shell out €2million for a third division Spanish footballer.
The 18-year-old object of Sherwood's ardor was Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez. You know him as Isco. The guy the entire Real Madrid dressing room calls 'Magic Isco'.
Levy was unconvinced that a kid in the Valencia B squad, playing in the Spanish boondocks, was worth that kind of moolah.
