Rangers star Kenny Miller's pal cleared as £95k extortion trial collapses
 

A friend of Rangers star Kenny Miller has been cleared of a £95,000 extortion plot after prosecutors dropped the charges against him.
It came after one of William Steele’s alleged victims told Hamilton Sheriff Court he had been pressured into making a statement implicating Steele.
Restaurant manager William McDonald, 23, told police that Steele came to his house claiming to be acting on behalf of Miller and demanded £50,000 from him and his girlfriend Ashley O’Donnell.
