Rangers defender Bruno Alves dropped from Portugal squad for World Cup qualifier against Andorra
 

Bruno Alves has been dropped from the Portugal squad for their World Cup qualifying clash against Andorra.
The 35-year-old was part of Fernando Santos' initial 25-man squad but has been excluded from the official list of 23 players submitted to FIFA along with Swansea loanee Renato Sanches.
Alves, who had missed the Ibrox side's last two Premiership matches against Celtic and Hamilton due to injury, spent last week training with the Portuguese squad after recovering from the calf injury he picked up in the 3-1 Betfred Cup win over Partick Thistle nearly three weeks ago
