Ram raid fears as car crashes into bank in the early hours smashing in a plate glass frontage

Workmen were called in on Sunday morning after a car had smashed into the front of a bank branch in the early hours.
The plate glass window was smashed in at the front of the bank in The Parade in Oadby.
Residents at first thought the branch of the HSBC had been targetted by ram raiders after the cash machine which is housed in the next window
One woman who lives nearby said: "When we came home from going out on Saturday night there was nothing wrong.
"But when we went out on Sunday morning we thought ram raiders had been after the hole in the wall cash machine."
